Blacktop Sky is about the world's that can be created when people are willing to cross the lines of class to be caring and attentive to one another. The design team conceptualized a world where the crossing of class lines is dependent on afro futurism and the stasis of the world relies on afro surrealism. The media of the show represents the community, with vibrant street art, and eventually comes to represent a world where class boundaries do not exist.
